I recently completed Final Fantasy X, an RPG style game developed by Square Enix. Final Fantasy X revoloves around Tidus, a blitzballer and a summoner, Yuna, who must complete a pilgrimage involving travelling around the world of Spira to temples and praying inside the chamber. If the fayth, the spiritlike beings in Spira, feel that the summoner is worthy, than they recieve an Aeon, beings which can be summoned to assist Yuna in battle. The summoner is always protected by guardians, who protect the summoner even at the cost of their life. When the last Aeon is obtained, in the ruins in Zanarkand, the summoner awaits the coming of a giant being known as Sin, which leaves death and destruction to the people of Spira. He/she then summons the final aeon and is killed in the process. When Sin is destroyed a period known as the Calm is created, but after a certain time Sin is reborn and another summoner must complete his/her pilgrimage. But in the Pilgrimage an operation known as Mi'ihen and the ambitions of Seymour Guado are realised and bring even more death and misery in Spira.

The world of Spira:

The people of Spira believe in a religion known as Yevon, in which there are temples around Spira. There are five races in Spira, human, the Al Bhed, which are humanoids that can be recognised by their spiral eyes and strange enigmatic clothing, usually with goggles and sometimes a mask. The Guado, another humanoid race that can be distinguished by their height, long fingers and spikey green, blue hair, the Guado live in Guadosolam. The Other two races are the Ronso, blue lion-like beings who live on Mount Gagazet and the Hypello, stout blue creatures with large eyes. While Spira is under constant death and misery brought by Sin, the misery is forgotten when Blitzball, a futurastic sport is played.
